Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu Itinerary

July 12-18, 2025

Day 1: July 12

Flight to Cusco (from Lima or Puerto Maldonado)

Day 2: July 13

Cusco – Pisac – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

Breakfast included.


You’ll be picked up from your hotel between 7:00am-7:30am and be taken to the town of Pisac. This small, beautiful village is full of history and is the entrance hall to the Sacred Valley. Here we’ll visit the archaeological centre and the traditional market where you’ll be able to buy some local souvenirs for yourself or loved ones back home.


We then continue on to Ollantaytambo, where we’ll first stop for lunch at a beautiful local restaurant. We will again discover the astonishing Inca architecture and the beauty of the local culture. From there, we make our way to the train station to take the 2-hour train ride to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our team will be waiting to welcome you to this small town, give all the details necessary and take you to the hotel where you’ll spend the night.


Day 3: July 14

Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

In the early morning hours (time will be confirmed during your tour briefing) we take the scenic shuttle bus ride from Aguas Calientes up the zig -zagging Hiram Bingham highway to the entrance to the famous ruins.


Once in Machu Picchu you will have a 2-hour guided tour of the ruins where you see the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, and more. You’ll also learn all about the Incas, their culture and the history of Machu Picchu. After the tour you will have some free time to explore, take pictures, or just walk around the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.


Finally, you’ll make your way back down to Aguas Calientes town to take the train back at either 06:20pm or before (subject availability) from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, and then a private mini-van back to Plaza San Francisco in Cusco.


Day 4: July 15
